英文摘要 | This paper conducts a detailed investigation of the electromagnetic twist-polarizer effect of an advanced composite stab coated with a bi-isotropic medium. The advanced composite is a fiber-reinforced-plastic composite (FRPC), which has been widely used as a replacement of metals. The composite may be treated as a multilayered anisotropic medium from the electromagnetic point of view. The adopted bi-isotropic coating is general. Either the reciprocally chiral medium or the non-reciprocally Tellegen medium is considered to be the coating. Plane-wave reflection from the coated FRPC stab is analyzed for normal incidence. It appears that the twist-polarizer effect indeed occurs not only in the chiral case but also in the Tellegen one. Thus, the two kinds of bi-isotropic coating may be applied to reduce the radar cross-section (RCS) of the FRPC made objects. |
