英文摘要 | Comparative study of methods proposed by FDA and National Laboratories of Foods and Drugs (NLFD) for the detection and recovery of Aeromonas sobria indicated that starch-ampicilin agar (SA) method was the best medium for the recovery of 80-90% of the viable cells in comparision with the reference medium. In addition, SA agar permitted ready differentiation of typical yellow colonies of A.sobria from the background microflora. However, Bacillus cereus was found to spread on SA agar, interfering with the detection of Aeromonas sp. Yersinia selective agar (YSA) and MacConkey agar were not suitable for the detection of A.sobria because of their strong inhibitory effect. Peptone-beef extract-glycogen (PBG) agar was not ideal because it did not permit easy differentiation from other microorganisms and was tedious in medium preparation. |
