英文摘要 | In the clinical practice of Chinese traditional medicine, acupotomy is one of the most common therapy modules for patient with soft tissue injuries. Acupotomy is simple and causes minimum damage and is acceptable for most of patients. However, a post-operation pain persisting about one week is an important side-effect after operation. Since low level laser therapy (LLLT) was well documented by its acceleration of healing process and pain relief effect, we tried to combine these two methods to create a new protocol for use in the treatment of tissue injury and chronic muscle inflammation patients. In this study 45 patients (18 male and 27 female) between the ages of 27 to 65, who suffered with tissue damage and chronic inflammation were selected and randomly divided into three groups of 15 patients per group. The control group treated with acupotomy only. The testing groups were separated in two. The first group was irradiated with He-Ne laser after acupotomy and the second group was performed with a diode laser instead. The results showed that there was little difference in temperature changes between control and He-ne lasing group. In contrast, the diode laser irradiation group showed a significant difference from the other two groups. In conclusion, we suggested that using a diode laser of proper power and wavelength for irradiation could be a useful adjunct to accelerate the healing process and reduced the post-operation pain after acupotomy. In addition, it created a new protocol for the treatment of tissue injury and chronic muscle inflammation patients. |
