中文摘要 | 本研究分析10位(3歲半到5歲半)口吃兒童和10位(17歲到42歲)口吃成人的自發性談話的語言樣本,發現口吃兒童的不順暢發生在片語和句子的起始位置的觀察值顯著高於期望值,而大人則否。相反的,口吃成人的不順暢發生在語段的起始句的頻率顯著高於非起始句,而兒童則否。研究者從心理語言學的觀點討論口吃發生的起始效應及本研究結果臨床應用的意義。 |
英文摘要 | This investigation is to study whether the loci of stuttering are related to linguistic factors in terms of syntactic structures. It was designed to investigate: Is there a significant difference in the distribution of disfluency in initial vs. noninitial position of phrase or sentence, and is there a significant difference in the distribution of disfluency in initial vs. noninitial statements within a discourse unit for all stuttering participants and for stuttering preschool children vs. stuttering adults. The investigator analyzed the speech samples of 10 stuttering preschool children (3.5 years old to 5.5 years old) and 10 stuttering adults (17 years old to 42 years old). The results showed that for stuttering children, the disfluencies occurred more often in the initial position than in the other positions both in phrases and in sentences. However, the initial position effect within discourse units was significant for stuttering adults, but not for stuttering children. The stuttering children had larger differences between the observed and expected percentages of disfluencies in initial position of phrases and of sentences, but smaller differences of the occurrence of disfluencies between initial and noninitial statements than those of the stuttering adults. The findings are compared to the results of previous studies in English, and several interpretation are proposed. Limitations of the study and worthwhile future studies are discussed. |
