中文摘要 | 本文利用一種用於分析多層薄膜( multi-layer thin film )的轉移矩陣理論方 法探討光纖光柵的特性。 近年來,對於光纖光柵( fiber grating )之理論研究,大多以 耦合模理論( coupled-mode theory )及轉移矩陣方法( transfer-matrix method ) [1][2] 來進行。 本文以後者理論為基礎,利用 MATLAB 程式計算來探討光傳播進入光纖光 柵的相關特性,如光的振幅、反射率、穿透率等。本文中,數種在光纖通訊應用領域常見之 光纖光柵,例如:uniform, sinc-apodized, gaussian-apodized chirp 以及 sampling 光 纖光柵等將用來作為本文模擬分析之實例, MATLAB 程式計算與分析結果將以二維圖形呈現 。 |
英文摘要 | This paper investigates various features in fiber gratings (FGs) using transfer matrix method, which is normally utilized to analyze multi-layer thin films. In recent years, theoretical studies concerning FGs design has been actively carried out while couple-mode theory and transfer-matrix method are the most frequently used techniques. In this paper, the transfer matrix method is used to formulate important characteristics of light propagation phenomenon in FG, i.e. electric field amplitude, reflectivity and transmissivity. Numerical calculation tasks are accomplished by using MATLAB software package. Various useful FGs including uniform, sinc-apodized, gaussian-apodized chirp and sampling FGs are studied. Computer simulation results are graphically presented and discussed in full. |
