中文摘要 | 本質性研究之目的在瞭解癌末住院病患的需求與對療護結果之期望,以為提昇癌末病患生活品質之參考。經立意取樣,以臺灣某醫學中心之20名癌症末期住院患者為對象,以低結構開放性錄音訪談為資料收集法,並經内容分析法(content analysis)分析資料,本研究之資料收集與分析同時進行。訪談内容分析後可歸納為九要項,研究對象之期望首重病痛之解除與舒適感之增進。其次為療護人員關懷與親切的態度、立即回應病患的需求、鼓勵與支持或給予希望與信心、檢查時間勿太長,並求細心,勿出差錯、能夠與醫護人員建立信任關係,使病患免於恐懼、並希望能詳細地為病患解釋病情及獲得療護相關的資訊或知識等。本研究藉著深入瞭解癌末病患之内心感受與需求,其發現可為醫護人員制定各種照護措施的標準,並可為病患結果評量之參考。 |
英文摘要 | The purpose of this research was to investigate the expectations and needs of terminally ill cancer patients from health care professionals. A purposive sampling of 20 terminally ill cancer patients was drawn from a 1359 bed medical center in Taiwan. Data collected through semi-structured guidance and taped in-depth interview and analyzed by content analysis. These procedures were performed at the same time for generating resultant data. Results of the study showed that "relief pain" and "physical comfort" are the most important expectations among subjects on health care professionals. Furthermore, caring and cordial attitudes by physicians and nurses, prompt response to needs, emotional support, nurturing hope, shorter tests or examinations, trust relationships, and providing needed and informative illness-related information were all patients' expectations. Based on the results, the study provides gold standard referring to improve needed care for hospitalized terminally ill cancer patients, as well as evaluating the effectiveness of care--patient outcomes. |
