英文摘要 | This research used the virtual reality system to investigate the reaction time of different playing positions of college soccer players by simulating two different ball velocities and directions in order to understand the influence of ball velocities and directions as well as the response specificity of their playing position on their reaction time. There were 30 subjects in this experiment who were soccer players. Their average age was 20.90 year-old with a standard deviation of 1.95. Their average height was 172.77 cm with a standard deviation of 6.17. Their average weight was 66.68 kg with a standard deviation of 6.56. There were divided into two groups: the goal keepers, and the other members of soccer team. In the experiment, they stood on the virtual reality tools, called Kistler force plate, proceeding the sensory organization test (SOT) to investigate their sensor system. Then they put on the head mounted display (HMD) to react to every 12-yard ball from different directions and velocities, and their reacting time of center of pressure (COP) was collected. After dealing with the data, the results were as follows: 1. The reaction time responding to fast balls were shorter significantly than those responding to slow balls. This indicates that the velocity of stimulants would affect the players, information process. 2. The responses of the goal-keepers’ reaction time were significantly faster than the non-goal-keepers’. This implies that there is very specificity to the reaction time on different positions they play. 3. The reaction time of the approaching ball coming from the right side was shorter than from the left side. This means that the information processing time of the body’s rights side (frequently used) of is shorter than the left side (not frequently used). |
