中文摘要 | 本研究目的乃在初步了解兒童描述基本幾何圖形所使用之語彙及其背景,兒童辨認基本幾何圖形在平面圖案和立體造型中的影響因素,以及兒童造圖的能力分析。研究依台北市、台北縣、宜蘭縣、新竹縣鄉鎮地區以及台北縣烏來山區,晤談幼稚園10位、國小一年級12位、二年級11位、三年級7位中上程度兒童,共計40位(其中男生21位、女生19位)。本研究採活動實作方式為之,包含:操弄實物、 辨認圖形和構造圖形。本研究結論顯示兒童說明圖形之性質時,大多數都以整理性的知覺思考,而常以舉例方式比擬說明圖形,少數只說出圖形的部分特徵。晤談的對象,幼稚園或國小一、二、三年級兒童,對於任何基本圖形,無論在視覺或觸覺察看或做分類之活動時圖形的特徵,都不能全部說出必要充分的相關屬性。建議未來研究有必要以Fischbein直觀理論 (Fischbein et al. 1985),去檢驗學生直覺的、隱含的、無意識、和素樸的幾何概念知識。未來可重覆或驗證是否有比視覺層次更基本的層次存在(Clements, Swaminathan, Hannibal, & Sarama, 1999)。 |
英文摘要 | The purposes of the study are to investigate language children use to describe geometric shapes, to understand the factors affecting how children distinguish basic geometric shapes from plain and 3-dimension figures in their learning environment. This study conducted individual clinical interviews of 40 k to 3 children (21 males and 19 females), emphasizing the indentification and descriptions of shapes and reasons for their indentifications. The study got the preliminary conclusion via three kinds of assessment tasks (manipulating objects, recognizing shapes, and constructing figures). The results showed that a lot of children rely on visual matching to distinguish shapes, and some of them are able to recognize shapes by means of its properties. For future investigation, children’s intuitive, implicit, unconscious, and primitive concepts of geometric knowledge should be studied with Fischbein’s intuition model. On the other hand, more researches have to be conducted to check Clements and Battista’s claims that a prerecognitive level exists before van Hiele Level 0 and that Level 0 should be reconceptualized as syncretic instead of visual. |
