中文摘要 | 高科技時代來臨,科技輔具對於殘障者所扮演的角色愈來愈重要,其中以結合電 腦為最適當的考量。但是對於部分殘障者如手部功能不便、肌肉萎縮症、腦性麻痺或重度肢 障者,因無法使用一般的鍵盤與電腦溝通,導致無法享用科技的成果。摩斯碼便成為替代性 的鍵盤很好的選擇,使用摩斯碼的限制是操作要穩定。然而,殘障者因受到肢體障礙的限制 ,要維持穩定的按鍵速度與長短比值並不容易。因此,為了讓殘障者亦能使用中文電腦,良 好的中文摩斯碼辨識系統是需要的。在本文中,我們提出一個新的辨識方法,分成三個部分 :臨界值調整、元素辨識及字元轉譯。實驗結果顯示,新方法的辨識率可達 85%,其成效優 於文獻上的辨識率 69%。 |
英文摘要 | Technological assistive devices are gradually playing an important role for disabled persons. Combining the functions of computer software and hardware is one of the best anplications. However, the conventional keyboard cannot be used by the disabled person whose hand coordination and dexterity are impaired by such aliments as muscle atrophy, cerebral palsy, or severe handicaps. Thus, they are not able to access the products of high technology as normal persons. Morse code is one of the best choices for a substitute keyboard. The limitation of using Morse code is that a stable typing speed must be maintained. Because maintaining a stable typing rate is a challenge for the disabled, the automatic recognition of Morse code is difficult. Therefore, a suitable Chinese Chang Jei Morse code recognition method is needed to help the disabled use the Chinese versions of computer applications. In this paper, we propose a new Morse code recognition approach which is divided into three modules: critical value adjustment, element recognition, and character translation. Experimental results revealed that the proposed method resulted in a higher recognition rate in comparison to alternative methods from the literature. |
