中文摘要 | 一個人的角色決定所處地位的權利和責任,認知是對事情處理態度的前提,在選舉活動一次次被批評充斥負面訊息、不見牛肉之際,選舉訊息建構者的角色和認知值得關切;本研究以民國八十七年的高雄市長選舉報紙對選舉新聞的建構為個案,研究受聘於候選人的選舉公關人員和報紙記者互動時,選舉公關人員的角色類型及報紙記者自主權的自我認知和彼此的認知,希望能藉此瞭解此次的選舉新聞建構過程。 本研究深度訪談兩種研究對象:兩位強勢候選人所聘的選舉公關及身兼選舉公關的另兩位候選人、採訪政治新聞的資深記者兼報紙記者主管;並問卷調查參與此次選舉的選舉公關公司負責人、和十七家每日均固定刊登選舉新聞的報紙記者,作為輔助分析資料。 研究發現,選舉公關人員和報紙記者均認為,選舉公關的角色類型以技術人員為多,選舉公關若要進入競選總部的決策地位得視候選人的行事風格而定,通常得和候選人有私交較易被重用;報紙記者自我認知以採訪和報導的自主權為多,報紙資深主管且認為記者通常揣摩上意工作,選舉公關對記者擁有那方面的自主權?須為對記者工作較了解者認知比較清楚;受訪之選舉公關、報紙記者、候選人都認同口水戰新聞太多了,但發現,此類選舉新聞風格是由競選總部和報紙組織的高權力部門決定的,選舉公關和記者的影響力不大,此外發現,報紙不打算對所有候選人一視同仁,記者和選舉公關的互動模式因採訪候選人的路線而異,報紙 也不排斥各競選陣營傳播出來以打理對手的負面訊息。 |
英文摘要 | This study addresses the issue of election news constructionthrough the interaction between journalists and public relations personnel during a municipal campaign in 1998. Data were collected via semi-structured interviews and survey. Respondents include four candidates, ten public relations personnel and 35 journalists from 17 daily press.Results indicated that most public relations personnel played the roleof "technician" and they needed to establish personal relationships withthe top before they could involve in decision making process. Mostjournalists thought they enjoyed autonomy in the process, especially interms of reporting and interviewing. The study also showed that bothjournalists and public relations personnel contribute insignificantly tothe election news. The construction of election news were mainly controlled by each campaign head quarter and higher level of authority ineach news organization. |
