中文摘要 | 英文老師在教導學生閱讀時,應對閱讀過程有所瞭解。本文首先以一個發生在美國紐奧良的真實故事,來點出一個人的背景知識對語文理解的影響,進而探討為何語意學、語用論、造句法等,應在語文教學過程中,被視之為要素。本文針對以上各因素如何影響閱讀之過程,分別提出若干舉證,期能對語文能力之獲取過程提供更深刻的認識。雖然個別的閱讀教學法並非本文探討的目標,本文仍分別針對語意學、語用論、造句法,提出若干教學法供作參考。在瞭解語意學、語用論、造句法為何在閱讀教學中扮演要角後,本文在文末呼籲教授英文閱讀的老師們,經常抱持開放的態度,對學生的需求常保敏銳度,如此一來,方可成功、彈性地配合多樣化的語文學習模式與需求,找到最合宜、最有效之教學方法。 |
英文摘要 | Teachers must have an understanding of the reading processes that they are guiding students to acquire. Beginning with a true story happened in New Orleans, U.S.A., this paper discusses why semantics, pragmatics, and syntax should be considered key factors in the literacy instruction process. Examples of how these factors influence reading processes are given to provide a better understanding of the literacy acquisition process. While individual reading instruction strategies are not the objective of this paper, some useful strategies are suggested. The paper concludes with a sincere hope that reading teachers keep their mind open and remain keen to their students' need, so that they could always successfully adapt strategies to accommodate diversity for literacy acquisition. |
